Carol Mode

	I am a painter whose work is connected to specific times and places. Primarily I investigate spaces that are not defined by walls or architecture. They suggest the simultaneous existence of different planes that are not tied to structures. I am always looking for ways in which I can experience spaces I inhabit and respond to the world around me. Thus I constatnly reference natural objects, earth and sky formations, weaving all the elements together as abstract topographies.
