Terri Dilling
| Although my artwork is often quite abstract, the combinations of imagery are drawn from specific sources, including nature, architecture, science and other subjects I have researched. I work with layers, color relationships, and the juxtaposition of one thing with another. I am interested in the points where organic flow and random marks meet up with constructed order and patterns. As a conceptual idea, this reflects something about the complexity and ambiguity of the world around me. As a way of making art, it allows for part control and part surprise in my processes, which continually intrigues me as an artist. |
